Our simplest analysis for cost basis can include:
- piece size and weight, and conformity of these to advertised specifications
- 'mesh' or yarn count of woven cotton gauze, or "cheesecloth", that is commonly used in tack cloths and its conformity to advertised specification or independent standards (USP/BP/EP)
- grade of textile finish (bleached or unbleached 'greige', scoured or unscoured with impurities, finished or linting raw edges, etc.)
A more complex anaysis may include:
- weight of yarns (denier)
- tack volatility (drying vs. non-drying properties)
- tack transferability ("cohesive" quality)
